Did you order lechon for Christmas? Burgos Street in downtown Cagayan de Oro City is home to some of the oldest longest-running lechon businesses in the city but was unfortunately submerged in floodwaters yesterday at the height of Tropical Storm Vinta.
However, the city’s resiliency is manifested with the lechon business still working. Despite the flooded street, lechoneros still find a way to ply their business especially that demand for lechon is at its peak during Christmas Eve. Photo below courtesy of Ace Diaz shows two lechoneros carrying a raw lechon to be roasted.
