Cagayan de Oro’s Mark John Yap dropped Japanese challenger Seizo Kono twice in the 10th round including a wicked left hook to the body before the referee stopped the fight to retain his Orient Pacific Boxing Federation (OPBF) Bamtamweight title yesterday, December 3 at the Edion Arena in Osaka, Japan.
With the win, Yap who is ranked No. 6 by the WBC primes himself for a possible world title shot. Yap is shown below after the stoppage.
