Jepher John Egan scored with 18 seconds left to cap a 26-point performance as Cagayan de Oro’s Southern de Oro Philippines College (SPC) Sharks edged Zamboanga City’s Southern City Colleges, 46-44, in the finals of the Vivo 2017 Philippine Collegiate Champions League (PCCL) Mindanao Leg of the National 3×3 Basketball Championship held last November 25 at the Almendras Gym in Davao City.

Emmanuel Akut III added 12 points, 9 boards and 2 assists while Rudjud Daga had 8 points and 5 rebounds. Christian Pagaran rounded out the team

SPC earlier clobbered JH Cerilles State College of Pagadian City, 50-29 in the semifinals behind Christian Pagaran’s 19 points.

In the preliminaries, SPC used a strong finish to beat Davao City’s San Pedro College, 51-41.

In their first game, SPC routed Davao City’s Agro-Industrial Foundation College of the Philippines, 51-20. SPC started the game with an 11-0 run and never looked back.

SPC will now compete in the Grand National Finals for the title of National 3×3 Collegiate Champion in Manila on February 2018.
