The 19th National Mango Congress formally kicked off today with Department of Agriculture Undersecretary Evelyn G. Laviña, City Mayor Oscar S. Moreno, Philippine Mango Industry Foundation, Inc. president Ms Virginia de la Fuente and other executives opening the exhibit at Grand Caprice Restaurant, Limketkai Center in Cagayan de Oro City.

The three-day event gathered the major players in the country’s mango industry with all regions well represented. Set November 27-29, the event aims to revitalize the mango industry in the country thru introduction of advanced pre and postharvest technologies, proper production and pest management as well as calculating demands for mangoes worldwide.
