Eighteen-year old Marcus Villalba Smith, whose mother hails from Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines, has been nominated for BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year.

The young Filipino-British rugby player is having a breakout season playing for the Harlequins Academy. He is one of ten nominees for the award with the winner to be announced December 17 in a ceremony at the Echo Arena in Liverpool. Read full details below.
