Construction of the new XAVIER ATENEO SPORTS CENTRE beside Xavier University Grade School Pueblo de Oro Campus is now almost done even as school authorities have already set the opening date on December 16, 2017.

The development is envisioned to accommodate school intramurals, varsity practices in basic and higher education, university-wide activities, and gatherings. But accordingly, the proposal to open the facility for public use is still pending in the Office of the XU President. Here are latest photos courtesy of Project LUPAD during the exclusive sneak peek today.

The sports facility has a 2,500-capacity gymnasium, a football field, a polyurethane track oval, a semi Olympic size swimming pool, and a parking lot that can accommodate approximately 200 cars.

The polyurethane flooring for the track oval was reportedly imported from Germany.

Meanwhile, the gymnasium features a basketball court with 4 sub-courts intended for practices with retractable bleachers and 4 badminton courts which can accommodate 50-70 persons.

The semi-Olympic size swimming pool has a depth of 4-6 feet.

The main entrance is along El Camino Real Street.

Soft opening will be on December 16 with XU Family Fest as the first major event to be held at the facility.
