The newly-opened Seven Seas Waterpark and Resort located in Barra, Opol, Misamis Oriental has been drawing tourists from all over the country including from as far as from Metro Manila and Luzon.
In a recent visit to the famed world-class water-themed park, you can see visitors talking in their dialects – Tagalog, Ilocano, Ilonggo and of course Cebuano, not to mention, some foreigners have also tried the waterpark’s different amenities. Most come in groups – families and friends. Another advantage is that it is just a mere 20-30 minutes from Laguindingan Airport. Guests from Manila fly in the morning and get on the return flight at night. A staff of the waterpark hinted a hotel is also being planned in the future to cater those who would spend time overnight and avoid the rush in catching up flights at night.
The waterpark’s marketing team also got a shot in the arm with national exposure thru a special feature by Jessica Soho on GMA TV Network just a few days after the public opening.
Some locals say the entrance fees are just too high but after three weeks of operation, the waterpark has been getting lots of good feedback from visitors so far as shared on social media. Of course, the expected number of guests is just what the management is expecting to properly manage the operations of the 5-hectare waterpark. Still, continuing improvement is always on the table to better manage the waterpark.
