Water consumers in Cagayan de Oro’s western area including Opol experienced again some long hours of interrupted water supply yesterday afternoon (November 15) and up to early today after bulk water supplier Rio Verde conducted an emergency leak repair of the river crossing pipeline.

However, just this morning, the Cagayan de Oro Water District (COWD) announced in its official Facebook page that Rio Verde has completed the repair work at 6:00am early today. Accordingly, normal water supply to affected areas will be restored once sufficient pressure has been built.

Yesterday afternoon, COWD monitored the decreasing flow from Rio Verde’s off-take point which finally reached ‘zero’ flow at 6:00pm.
