Limketkai Luxe Hotel will be the first pilot testing area for a small scale waste treatment facility using the Japanese-made Hinode Microbubbler System (HMBS) technology which will be funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
This was disclosed by representatives of three Japanese firms namely: E-Square Inc., Original Engineering Consultants Co. Ltd. (OEC), and Hinode Sangyo Co. Ltd. of Japan, who were in the city recently to introduce the technology. The group visited the Cagayan de Oro Water District (COWD) and made a courtesy call on City Hall. The pilot testing is part of the feasibility study on HMBS. Cogon Market is being eyed as the second area to test the HMBS.
The HMB is a groundbreaking technology which uses fine air bubble (microbubble) generator. The fine air bubbles with diameters ranging between ten and several tens of microns are efficiently soluble in liquids, resulting in higher dissolved oxygen and improved water quality. See some photos below.
In a press release from the COWD, the group will return to the city in January or February of 2018 to visit other possible sites. They also plan to invite representatives from CDO to Yokohama, Japan to tour their facilities and project sites.
