Just in case you still don’t know it yet, Malacañang early today, Sunday, October 15 announced the suspension of all classes in all levels in both public and private schools and work in government offices nationwide tomorrow, Monday, October 16 due to the planned nationwide transport strike. This is based on Memorandum Circular 28.

The announcement however does not include the private sector and the suspension of work in private companies is subject to the discretion of the employers. The suspension of classes and work is made to minimize public inconvenience arising from the planned 2-day nationwide transportation strike which is in protest of the government’s jeepney modernization program.
