Northern Mindanao’s booming economy has spurred the surge of construction activities which need 7,000 construction workers. This was disclosed by Technical Education Skills and Development Authority (TESDA) Director General Guiling Mamondiong in yesterday’s launching of the Training Center for Construction Industry in Libertad town in Misamis Oriental.
Mamondiong said this is the reason why TESDA launched the training center to improve the quality of construction workers in the region with courses like construction painting, plumbing, tile setting, carpentry, masonry, electrical installation, and maintenance and shielded metal arc welding.
