Renz Alexander Lumban of Cagayan de Oro City has just set the Philippine record of 11.05 seconds in the Rubik’s Cube One-Handed Single Solve Category during the recent Philippine Championship 2017 held at SM City Marikina last September 15-17.

The category allows competitors to look at the cube first to analyze it before a timer starts signaling the competitor to solve it using just one hand. Watch Lumban’s record-setting performance below.

Lumban, however, settled for 2nd place in the said category with an average solving time of 16.48 seconds. Cavite’s Nathaniel Ortega placed first with an average of 14.18 seconds which is also a Philippine record. Source

The previous Philippine record was 11.59 seconds set by Richard Jay S. Apagar in 2013.
