The Cagayan de Oro Coastal Road Project made a major milestone after finally linking the section at Lapasan which was a subject of the project delay due to right-of-way (ROW) issue.
Shown above is a comparison of the section between June and September. Clearly, newly paved lanes can now be observed. A portion of the fenced reclaimed area still remains but is not obstructing the project anymore. Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark Villar had earlier announced the opening of traffic of the Coastal Road in November. This new route will certainly decongest the National Highway and CM Recto Avenue.
