Both PLDT and Globe Telecom recently issued advisories relative to the slowdown of internet services affected by the damaged undersea cable links caused by the recent strong typhoon which struck Hong Kong.

PLDT stated they are working with their overseas cable partners to speed up repair work. Globe on the other hand rerouted its data traffic to other undersea cable systems which resulted to no adverse impact to their subscribers.

The damage caused the slowdown of internet not just in Southeast Asia but also in Australia.
