With the use of 911 still awaiting clearance from the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), the city government of Cagayan de Oro yesterday launched its Oro Computer Aided Emergency Response Center (OCA-ERC) using the number 853-9393.

The center will be managed by the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department (CDRRMD). Accordingly, the public can now dial landline number 853-9393 for emergency response, including calls for fire, police and traffic assistance as the system is connected with the Bureau of Fire, Police, RTA and Oro Rescue. For mobile users, just dial(088) 853-9393.

The city will divert to the emergency number 911 once the DILG clearance will be secured.
