What would you do if you found a bag-full of cash? For Roderick Soddoy, Sogo Hotel Supervisor in Cagayan de Oro, the right thing to do is to return it to the owner.

The bag containing P2.65 million in cash was returned yesterday to businessman Alala Saidamen Barambangan during the formal turnover held at Agora Police Station.

According to information as posted in Agora Police Station’s official Facebook page (see bottom of post), Soddoy found the red bag full of cash at Room 128 believed to have been left by one of their hotel guest who checked out at 5:00am yesterday, August 17, 2017.

Soddoy then quickly informed William A Velasco, Sogo Hotel Manager and reported to Agora Police Station (COCPO Station 3).

At around 8:00am, a man went to the police station claiming to be the owner of the bag containing the cash. After verifying the claimant’s identity thru the hotel CCTV footage and identification cards, police returned the cash to the businessman and witnessed by some media personnel.
