MetroPac Water Investments Corporation, a subsidiary of Manuel V. Pangilinan’s Metro Pacific Investments Corp. (MPIC) formally signed today an agreement with the Cagayan de Oro Water District (COWD) for the formation of a joint venture company to implement the 100 million liters per day (MLD) Bulk Water Project in Cagayan de Oro City.

The signing was held at Makati Shangri-La and witnessed by Cagayan de Oro City officials led by City Mayor Oscar Moreno.

Accordingly, the project involves the construction of new water transmission lines, rehabilitation of Camaman-an reservoir, and the delivery of bulk treated water to serve the city’s western side which currently relies on deep wells for its water supply.
