The 12.77-kilometer Cagayan de Oro Coastal Road from Brgy. Gusa to Igpit in Opol will be accessible to motorists this coming November.

This was announced by Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark Villar in his official Facebook page (see below). Accordingly, travel time will be reduced by 20 minutes and a 30% reduction on travel cost. The photo below shows Secretary Villar and his staff at the project site.

It can be recalled that the Lapasan-Gusa Section of the Coastal Road has been delayed by right-of-way problems. Last month, lawyer James Judith (read below) formally asked Malacañang to intervene in the completion of the said project.
