Seven individuals including a so-called ‘US Royal Third Lourd Admiral 17-Star General’ were arrested by government forces at a checkpoint near Marawi City.
The seven who were in various military uniforms presented IDs (see below) and were onboard a white Toyota Fortuner with ’For Registration’ plate when flagged down by authorities last Thursday, July 27. Accordingly, they were bound for Marawi City supposedly to meet an official of the United Nations named Capt. James Gothrie.
From Journal.com.ph, the suspects who are now detained at Marawi City are Ariel Bejaan, 45, of Wahigan, Pagalungan, Cagayan de Oro City; Pacito Villanueva, 45, of Sumilao, Bukidnon; Juniper Alestre Sr., 52, of Valencia, Bukidnon; Bienvenido Sepe, 68, of Poblacion, Kabacan, Cotabato City; Florante Alejandrino, 38, of Puerto Bugo, Cagayan de Oro City; Rufina Guyatao, 53, of Bagong Taas, Valencia, Bukidnon; and Elsie Lantong, 48, of Sumilao, Bukidnon. They face charges for violation of Article 177 of the Revised Penal Code (usurpation of authority). Meanwhile, the driver was also held for further questioning.
