Even with the implementation of martial law, shipments in Northern Mindanao have increased in June with the Mindanao International Container Terminal (MCT) in Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental registering P811.23 million collection or a 12.50 percent rise from their target of P721.11 million. This was according to the Bureau of Customs-10 (BOC-10).

In an article at Davao Today, BOC-10 Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service (CIIS) Chief Alvin Enciso said the enforcement of the military rule in Mindanao has even encouraged importers to ship their goods to the region. He said importers interpret the checkpoints along major highways as additional security for their cargoes.
