The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) will soon have a new regional office in Cagayan de Oro City. This after the recent groundbreaking ceremony last July 18, 2017 of the proposed 3-storey office building located in Barangay Macabalan.

During the formal groundbreaking rite, a Contract of Usufruct was also signed between the City Government of Cagayan de Oro represented by Mayor Oscar Moreno, and PDEA represented by Director General Isidro Lapeña since the 502 sqm lot is owned by the City Government. Accordingly, the signing was made possible by virtue of City Ordinance No. 13263-2017. Present during the activity were some city councilors and PDEA staff.
