The proposed Port of Opol will be located right beside the newly-inaugurated Municipal Fish Port in Luyong Bonbon, Opol town in Misamis Oriental, some 14 kilometers west of Cagayan de Oro City.
As revealed in Kagay-an.com and as shown in the map below, the proposed port zone delineation stretches up to the port operated by San Miguel Corp. The orange area is the proposed development while the lighter area is for future development. The Port of Opol is intended to be an alternative port for domestic tramping vessels and help decongest Cagayan de Oro Port.
