Palaro quadruple gold medalist Michael Porras has taken his winning stride overseas by bagging gold medals in Poomsae (A-Match) and in Kyurogi (Sparring) in the ongoing 2017 Jeonju Open International Taekwondo Championships held at Jeonju Hwasan Gymnasium in Jeollabuk-do, South Korea. Porras also won a bronze in Poomsae (B-Match).

It was a Cagayan de Oro show as fellow Kagay-anon Shun Kine Ira won gold in Poomsae (B-Match) and also in Kyurogi. Further, the 7-member delegation from CDO actually performed well with Elrique Vinzo Orcales winning another gold in Kyurogi after winning silver in Poomsae.
