Kagay-anon guard Kent Salado scored 24 points including 13 in the 3rd quarter as the Arellano Chiefs won their first game in the post-Jalalon era over Mapua University Cardinals, 91-82, in the opener of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament Season 93 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

In a sterling performance, Salado also grabbed seven rebounds, had four assists, and four steals. With Jio Jalalon now in the PBA, Salado has become the squad’s leader.
