Emergency units successfully rescued two fire volunteers after two fire trucks collided at an intersection in downtown Cagayan de Oro while responding to a fire incident last Sunday, July 2.

As shown in the photos below, a fire truck from Gaisano Fire Volunteers (red) collided with another fire truck from the Filipino-Chinese Volunteers (light green) along Don Apolinar Velez and JR Borja Streets. The two were responding to a fire incident at Macahambus-Burgos Streets. As a result of the collision, two fire volunteers from Gaisano were pinned inside the fire truck prompting rescue units to respond. Accordingly, the two suffered minor injuries and were immediately brought to JR Borja City Hospital and Polymedic Medical Plaza.
