Two young cagers from Cagayan de Oro shone in the just concluded Elite 60 Development Camp held at the Colegio de San Agustin Gym in Makati City.
In a report from ABS-CBN Sports, Assumption Montessori School’s Milo B. Janao, Jr. and National University’s Ernest John Felicilda took home Most Outstanding Player awards at the end of the 3-day national basketball summer camp program organized by former Philippine National Youth Team coach Eric Altamirano.
Janao was named the top player from Mindanao in the U-18 category while Felicilda earned the nod in the U-16 category for NCR-based players. Felicilda previously played for Corpus Christi in CDO before bringing his playing skills in Manila.
Three other Kagay-anons also participated in the camp: Duff Ross Galas of Southern de Oro Philippines College (U-18), Cyrian Boniao of Southern de Oro Philippines College and Kent Gelogo of Assumption Montessori School (U-16).
The Elite 60 Development Camp is an official grassroots program of the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas designed to search for potential talent to be included for future national squads with support from the MVP Sports Foundation.
