Do you have an account with the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI)? Early today, June 7, BPI released an advisory regarding the reported unauthorized transactions involving accounts of its bank clients. As gathered in the news, some have reported a negative balance in their account while others have trouble logging-in online.
Accordingly, BPI has identified the root cause of the error, and are temporarily suspending access to electronic channels to speed up rectification. BPI also reassured its clients that the matter will be resolved expediently, and that none of them will lose money from this incident.
