The City Government of Cagayan de Oro thru the Hapsay Sapa Council chaired by Mayor Oscar Moreno yesterday, May 31, 2017 turned over the completed first phase of the Bitan-ag Creek Linear Park Project.

As shown below, the park provided a setback from the creek needed for entry of emergency vehicles and creek maintenance equipment.

Implemented by the Hapsay Sapa Council with Patrick Gabutina as Focal Person and in close coordination with USTP, XU, CLENRO, OBO, City Engineering Office, CSWD, CIO, City Assessors Office, EMD, CPSO, DENR, CEPALCO, COWD, UN Habitat, and Barangay 22 officials, this small park beside Bitan-ag Creek is the pilot project by the group which is tasked to rehabilitate the city’s major creeks.

Meanwhile, the Hapsay Sapa Council also held the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Phase II of the Linear Park Project along Bitan-ag Creek in Barangay Lapasan yesterday, May 31, 2017.

This will now extend the park to CM Recto.
