GLOBE TELECOM has lauded the City Government of Cagayan de Oro as well as four other cities in reducing the permitting procedures for the establishment of cell sites for telco firms.
In an article from the Philippine News Agency, Globe specifically cited Cagayan de Oro’s city council committees in drafting a resolution to reduce from 26 to six the number of permits for the establishment of cell sites.
It can be recalled that last February 2017, the City Council recommended to streamline the permitting process for telecommunication companies. The action was a result of a city council committee meeting wherein it was revealed that the inadequacy of telecommunication network infrastructures is resulting to slower wireless internet speed (LINK).
Accordingly, another meeting has been set this month for an update on the status of the said resolution.
