In a report from SunStar CDO, four CDO players made it to the U-16 team. They are Kent Gelogo (Assumption Montessori School), Cyrian Boniao (Southern de Oro Philippines College), Gabriel Nunag and Matthew Du (both from Xavier University High School).

Meanwhile, Milo Janao Jr. (Assumption Montessori School) and Duff Ross Galas (Southern de Oro Philippines College) were selected to the U-18 team. Janao was best known as the most valuable player during the 2017 National Basketball Training Center (NBTC) League National Championship which was won by Assumption Montessori School (LINK).

All six players will join the Elite 60 national camp set May 18-21 in Makati City.

The Elite 60 program is an official grassroots program of the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas which aims to find players from all over the country to possibly serve the youth teams and the Gilas cadet programs.
