More than two months since his capture and after a series of negotiations, PO2 Gerome Anthony Natividad was freed by New People’s Army rebels Thursday in Dominorog, Talakag, Bukidnon.
Photo above shows Natividad (center with 1990 printed shirt) with Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Oscar Moreno (3rd from left) in his capacity as chairman of the Regional Peace and Order Council, Kalilangan Mayor Omaradji Pizzaro (3rd from right), Pangantucan Mayor Miguel Silva (2nd from right), Iglesia Filipina Independiente Bishop Felixberto Calang (1st from right) and other members of the clergy during Natividad’s release.

It can be recalled that PO2 Natividad was on his motorcycle traveling from Kalilangan and bound for Cagayan de Oro City when he was flagged down by some 60 rebels manning a checkpoint in Talakag town last February 9, 2017.

Right after his release, PO2 Natividad was reunited with his wife and went directly to his home in Pangantucan.
