The P2.4 million Animal Shelter and City Pound Facility located in Barangay Balubal, Cagayan de Oro City is now almost done.

Shown below are latest photos of the state-of-the-art facility which will be managed by the City Veterinary Office. It will have comfortable cages for stray, unclaimed and unwanted dogs as well as a clinic where euthanasia is performed in accordance with the Anti-Rabies Act of 2007. It will also serve as temporary shelter for rescued animals in times of disaster and calamities.

The project is within the 4.2-hectare property owned by the city government.
