A strong aftershock with a magnitude of 4.5 occurred again tonight (Good Friday) at around 7:20pm. The epicenter is again in the vicinity of Wao, Lanao del Sur. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) has so far recorded more than 314 aftershocks in Lanao del Sur as of 6:00am today. It was also felt in Cagayan de Oro.
This is the third strongest aftershock since a 6.0 magnitude earthquake hit Wao last April 12. Early yesterday, April 13, the strongest aftershock (5.3) was felt at 4:01am. In the afternoon (1:01pm) of April 12, a 4.6-magnitude quake was recorded. Read latest info from PHIVOLCS below.
