Construction of the P2.438 million Animal Shelter Project located in Brgy. Balubal, Cagayan de Oro City is now progressing very well.
As shown below, the building has already taken shape with ongoing concreting works.
The 4.2-hectare state-of-the-art facility is being constructed to conform with standards set by the Animal Welfare Act. It will address the rising animal rabies incidents in the city and will have comfortable cages for stray, unclaimed and unwanted dogs as well as a clinic where euthanasia is performed in accordance with the Anti-Rabies Act of 2007.
The roof frame has also been installed.
The project is expected to be completed in July this year.
