All eight hundred thirty-two personnel under the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (COCPO) tested negative for drug use. This after a surprise drug test was conducted to all Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel of the city during the Rank Inspection last March 18 at the Pelaez Sports Complex.
According to a press release, all 832 personnel who submitted their urine specimen yielded negative results after the PNP crime laboratory finished their examination last March 23.
Meanwhile, more than 200 personnel were not able to undergo the said drug tests since they were on official duty.
The surprise drug test is in compliance with the directive of PNP chief PDG Ronald Dela Rosa to cleanse the rank from officers down to the lowest rank as part of the PNP internal cleansing strategy of the organization.
