Former Philippine U23 Teen Azkals Franco de la Torre of Cagayan de Oro and Richard Talaroc of Manticao, Misamis Oriental have joined Davao Aguilas FC, the first Mindanao football club to join the Philippine Football League, which kicks off in April.

De la Torre played for Xavier University before becoming a San Beda Red Lion in his college years. Meanwhile, Talaroc also played for San Beda and previously for Global FC.

In a report by Rappler.com, the newest football club will be composed mostly of homegrown players and two foreigners. It will be a mix of young and experienced players. Coach will be Australian Gary Phillips. The team was recently launched in Tagum City.
