Another oarfish has been found in Cagayan de Oro City today, March 25, 2017. In a report from RMN News, the 12-foot oarfish was spotted by a 4-year old boy swimming along the shore in Barangay Agusan at around 10:00am and immediately called the attention of his parents and neighbors.
Local villagers flocked to the site and retrieved the deep-sea creature which was still alive when found.
When found, the oarfish had a big wound in its long body and its tail already cut-off. It eventually died less than an hour later.
This is the second oarfish found in the city this year. It can be recalled that the first was found in Gusa in February (Read HERE).
