Art Attack Buskers Project, a weekly gathering of street performers and artisans every Friday and Saturday night this whole month of March 2017, is reviving street tourism in Cagayan de Oro City particularly in Divisoria.
Spearheaded by Dire Husi Initiatives, Inc., the activity aims to bring art closer to the masses and inspire marginalized talented individuals to explore their talent and be a changemaker in the community. The organization is also willing to mentor and guide young marginalized artists.
The activity also calls for concerned agencies in the government such as the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to relocate street dwellers who have made the park their home which affected the park’s aesthetics and potential as a tourist site.
Here’s a short clip of Art Attack.

If you are in Cagayan de Oro visit them at Divisoria’s Magsaysay Park every Friday and Saturday of March from 5pm to 10pm and patronize local mini art fair. Proceeds for our crafts sales and busking will go to various projects of Dire Husi.
