Philippine weather bureau PAG-ASA has just placed Misamis Oriental and several other areas in Mindanao under the Heavy Rainfall Yellow Warning Level today in an advisory issued at 2:40 p.m. March 9, 2017. Accordingly, this is caused by the Tail-End of A Cold Front.

Significantly, Bukidnon area where headwaters of Cagayan de Oro’s rivers and creeks originate is under ORANGE WARNING.

FLOODING is ALARMING. Flooding & Landslides in other areas.

YELLOW Warning Level: #MisamisOriental, #MisamisOccidental, #DavaoOriental, #DavaodelNorte, #Sulu, #LanaodelSur, and #SurigaodelSur,.
FLOODING is Possible. Flooding in low-lying areas especially along river channels and LANDSLIDES in mountainous areas.

Meanwhile, light to moderate rains affecting portions of #ZamboangaCity, #ZamboangadelSur, #ZamboangadelNorte, #Camiguin, #DavaodelSur, #NorthCotabato, #SouthCotabato, #SultanKudarat, #AgusandelNorte, #AgusandelSur, #DinagatIslands, and #SurigaodelNorte.

‬The public and the disaster risk reduction and management council concerned are advised to take appropriate actions, MONITOR the weather condition and watch for the next advisory to be issued at 5:40 PM today or any auxiliary advisory if there are significant changes in the weather conditions.
