Genessa Jane Eslapor, Martha Andre Raagas, Ranielle Rosales and Janel Delerio, four of Cagayan de Oro’s top female junior volleyball players are now playing for Manila-based universities in the Universities Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP).
The four represented Cagayan de Oro and Northern Mindanao in previous major sporting events. Last year, they were part of Northern Mindanao’s volleyball team in Palarong Pambansa in Albay. In 2015, they represented Cagayan de Oro City during the Palarong Pampook in Oroquieta City where they emerged as champions.
Genessa Jane Eslapor (formerly of Angelicum Learning Center) now plays for University of Santo Tomas (UST) junior girls volleyball team.
Ranielle Rosales an open hitter formerly of Xavier University High School also plays for the UST Junior Tigresses.
Genessa, Ranielle and middle blocker Martha Andre Raagas (formerly of Xavier University High School) are teammates in the UST Junior Tigresses. The three were part of the NMRAA secondary girls volleyball team.
Rosales and Raagas both played for UST during the 2016 Shakeys Girls V-League NCR leg were they emerged Champion. Meanwhile, Janel Omaque Delerio (also from Angelicum Learning Center) was the 4th player recruited to play in UAAP. A libero, she now plays for Far Eastern University (FEU) Lady Baby Tamaraws.
