Highly ranked boxing brothers Vic and Froilan Saludar who are now based in Cagayan de Oro are seeing action in Normin Glory 9, now underway (March 1) at the Bulua Covered Court.
Former WBO Asia-Pacific minimumweight champ “Vicious” Vic Saludar is facing Manila-based Boholano Powell Balaba, a journey man who has lost his last 12 bouts. Interestingly, Balaba’s last win was against Saludar also held in Cagayan de Oro in 2013. In that fight, Saludar retired after 4 rounds due to a hand injury. Saludar is seeking to avenge the early loss in his career.
Meanwhile, former WBO Intercontinental flyweight champ Froilan “The Sniper” Saludar will take on Butuan native Roque Lauro in another non-title contest. The Saludar brothers are former amateur standouts from General Santos City.

A special guest at ringside is IBF world super flyweight champion Jerwin Ancajas who is currently the country’s hottest prospect to follow Manny Pacquiao.
