The Detailed Engineering Design and Civil Works Construction of the P4.859 billion Panguil Bay Bridge Project is set to start in October of this year. This is based on the latest project update from the Regional Development Council of Northern Mindanao, RDC-X.
As shown below, the expected start for Conceptual Design by winning consultant is set next month, March 2017. Bidding for the Detailed Engineering Design and Civil Works Construction will be by August and then the start of construction in October.
Meanwhile, here are some conceptual layouts of the bridge project prepared by Sambo Engineering of Korea during the feasibility study stage.
The bridge will be two lanes as proposed with no sidewalk.
Here’s the section of the main bridge showing the ‘extradosed type’ design.
As envisioned, the bridge will become a major landmark not just between Tangub and Tubod but in the entire region.
