Some Cagayan de Oro flights will be affected once Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) starts the corrective maintenance of its Tagaytay radar from March 6-11, 2017.
In a press release, the Department of Transportation through the CAAP has advised airlines to prepare for the radar scheduled maintenance work which is expected to result in flight reductions during that period.
The shutting down of the Tagaytay radar will leave the country with only two operational radars — Laoag and Mt. Majic in Cebu. For passenger safety, flights will be reduced from 40 to 32 flights per hour, while general aviation will be reduced by 50%. Read full report HERE.
Meanwhile, in an advisory, Philippine Airlines has released the list of flights which will be affected by the radar shut down. For Cagayan de Oro, PAL has cancelled flights PR 2521 (Manila-Cagayan de Oro) and 2522 (Cagayan de Oro-Manila) from March 6-11, 2017. View full list below.
Passengers of affected flights are advised to contact PAL Hotline (02) 855-8888 for rebooking and other related concerns.
Meanwhile, Cebu Pacific still has not released its flights list affected by the radar maintenance as of posting.
