Elizann Emata Blank, a 13-year old taekwondo jin who traces her roots in Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental could be one medal hope for the Philippines in the future. This after the youngster has been making strides in several tournaments in the United States bagging gold medals after another.

Blank first won Gold in the 2014 Pan Am Open International Taekwondo Championship in Portland ,Oregon. Blank then won gold in the 2015 USA Taekwondo National Championships in Austin, Texas. She got another gold in Las Vegas International Open in November 2015 before bagging gold in the California State Taekwondo Championships.

Based in California, Blank is still in the cadet weight division and hopefully, in the next couple of years, she will be elevated to the junior and then to the senior ranks. Who knows, she might represent the country in the Olympics.
