Less than 24 hours after a magnitude 6.7 quake hit Surigao City and Surigao del Norte, the City Government of Cagayan de Oro sent a convoy of rescue teams composed of 2 ambulances, 2 Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) vehicles, 1 supply vehicle, and 1 pickup truck to the quake-hit areas.

The team will be in Surigao for necessary assistance for 3 days before another team will arrive to replace them.
