Duterte’s Kitchen, a free food center program which relies on donations and volunteer work, will start feeding homeless people and street kids in Cagayan de Oro on February 11, 2017. It is located along Andres Fernandez Street in Carmen.
Duterte’s Kitchen is inspired by a project of President Rodrigo Duterte when he was still mayor of Davao City. Duterte’s Kitchen launched its first outlet in Cubao, Quezon City last October 2016.
When Cagayan de Oro City was flooded a couple of weeks ago, Duterte’s Kitchen launched ‘Tabang CDO’ to help flood victims.
Now, Duterte’s Kitchen is here to stay to feed the hungry. It’s slogan is “Walang Matutulog na Gutom” (Trans: Nobody Sleeps Hungry“).
Duterte’s Kitchen Cagayan de Oro was realized with the help of non-government organizations (NGOs) and civic groups such as ONECDO sa Pagbabago Inc., United President Duterte Group R-X, New Gateway Eagles Club, Soka Gakkai International, Anonymous Cdo and PDP-Laban.
