Elements of Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (COCPO) led by Station One (Divisoria) Commander Police Senior Inspector Maricris Y. Mulat recently arrested six (6) suspected notorious carnappers after a long surveillance operation.
According to the press release, police reviewed CCTV footages of previous carnapping incidents and finally caught three (3) suspects in the act of stealing another motorcycle parked in front of the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC). Police state the suspects steal motorcycles with the aid of a red Toyota Revo. The arrest of the three led to a follow-up operation at the suspects’ hideout at Sta. Cecilia in Gusa where three (3) more suspects were arrested. Found at the Gusa hideout were three suspected stolen motorcycles. All suspects are from Iligan and Marawi Cities. Recovered from the suspects are cellphones, assorted keys, improvised keys and 2 sachets of suspected shabu. The red Toyota Revo and the three suspected stolen motorcycles are also in police custody. Police encourage victims to drop by COCPO Station 1 at Divisoria to file necessary complaints.
