Philippine weather bureau PAG-ASA has just placed Misamis Oriental and several other areas in Mindanao under the Heavy Rainfall Yellow Warning Level today in an advisory issued at 7 a.m. January 28, 2017. This is caused by the ‘Trough of Low Pressure Area” located east of Mindanao.

* FLOODING is possible in low lying areas and LANDSLIDES in mountainous areas (YELLOW).
Meanwhile, light to moderate #rains affecting portions of #LanaodelNorte, #DavaoCity, #DavaodelSur, #DavaoOccidental, #NorthCotabato, #SouthCotabato, #GeneralSantosCity, and #Sarangani.
* The public and the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council concerned are advised to MONITOR the weather condition and watch for the next advisory to be issued at 10:00 AM today.
