Late yesterday afternoon in Cagayan de Oro City, at the height of the heavy downpour, a landslide occurred along Masterson Avenue just below the now-closed Pryce Plaza Hotel cutting the major link between the city’s uptown and downtown areas.
The landslide caused the rocks and vegetation to spill unto the road blocking traffic. Here are photos posted by netizens.
Because of the incident, traffic was stalled from the site up to Macanhan Flyover as well as towards Manresa area.
The site was cleared a few hours later but rock falls continued making it risky for motorists.
Because of this, many commuters were also stranded in the uptown area.
