Some areas in Cagayan de Oro City are still without electricity as power in these areas were intentionally cut-off as precautionary measures due to flooding and heavy rains.

This was revealed in a radio interview by an executive of the Cagayan Electric Power & Light Co. Inc., (CEPALCO) the local electric service provider. Accordingly, safety was the primary concern of the power cut-off where a huge part of the city was affected. However, the official also stated that power will be restored as soon as weather normalizes and flooding subsides.

Keep posted.
